Our story

We provide environmentally conscious design, construction, and management services for a variety of projects.

How we started

COVID19 taught us to review our business resilience and reliance, which exposed our dependence on internationally sourced products and foreign designed products.

During the downtime of lockdowns, our APS Design Team sketched out the prototypes of our own NZ made and NZ designed roof access systems, welcoming the birth of Catwalk walkways to our height safety product range. Further design advances from our Team produced Catwalk Guardrails, A/C Mounts and Gutter Protectors (for protection from abseil ropes). All EngCert Anchors, all 3D Ladder Brackets and all but one of our Catwalk products are now sourced and manufactured here in NZ.

What We Value

APS is not solely a specialist height safety company, but rather we are a specialist multi-trade company which means we have the combined expertise of a Building, Roofing, Waterproofing, Engineering, Abseiling, Painting and Cleaning company.

Our solutions are based on the end-user (ie. APS and every other building maintenance contractor) so our designs are practical, usable, and cost effective.

We take immense pride in being Kiwi owned, innovative and out-of-the-box thinkers who have developed a strong professional reputation since 1991.

Meet The Team

Sione Lolohea, originally a builder, seamlessly transitioned into our Height Safety team, applying his building expertise to working at elevated levels. His hands-on experience has played a pivotal role in the creation of innovative safety products, such as the 3D Ladder Bracket, enhancements to our roof anchors, and the formulation of our PPE safety kits. Sione has further extended his contributions by joining our technical team, providing comprehensive support to the broader APS team in all aspects of Height Safety.
